What's HEALTHY, ORGANIC and FREE?

Nature is an unforgiving lover. Treat her well and she is loving and
generous. Disrespect her and she will make you wish you never
met her. We experience this when we enjoy good health, clean air
and nutritious food. We also experience this when we have landslides,
red tides, droughts and cancer. Nature was and is meant to be loved
and cherished.

I was brought up to take good care of my health. True good genes help.
But being proactive about one's health was a big thing in my family.

I have long been a non-pork eater. I started even when it was NOT
politically correct to say so. I can still remember the weird stares!!!
Yeah, I sometimes eat hotdog, bacon bits and salami. YUM!!! But these
are exceptions not the rule. My meat is mostly chicken, fish and beef.
I eat fruits and veggies. I drink lots of water (people expect to see
me with a water bottle). Soymilk and tofu are staples in the fridge.
Farmer-grown, non-gmo and organic ---- love it!

Nowadays, I am considered normal. Yeah, it's been great that more
and more people have a healthy lifestyle. The popularity of running,
cycling and pilates is proof. Taking natural supplements is another.
And the list goes on.

I think it's about time people gave
natural family planning
a second
thought too.

I know people who are on the pill. They complain about irritability
and migraines. They complain their hormones have gone ballistic.
They complain they're bloated and fat.

Maybe your body is telling you something.

I do look forward to the day when Natural Family Planning becomes
THE intelligent option. It's HEALTHY, it's ORGANIC and it's FREE.

p.s.
The Billings Ovulation Method is one of the most preferred natural family
planning methods. You may want to try it too if you're "trying" for a baby.
Click on the link or go here: http://www.billingslife.org/

p.p.s.
If you're on the pill for medical reasons, please make an informed
decision based on what you and your doctor have discussed. This is
not what I am talking about here.

p.p.p.s.
Im sure it would be exciting to see everyone's rants and raves on
this matter. However, I'd hate to see this turn into a mudslinging
contest. I am exercising my right to turn off all comments on this
matter (pro and anti). Thank you for respecting my request that
you hold your discussion elsewhere.

ETA 2016: This came about because Baranggay A's controversial
PROLIFE Baranggay Ordinance created quite a media buzz. These
were my thoughts back then.

The December Daily Project

Today, December 1, allow me to revisit my 101 Things to Do in 1001 Days post.
Why??? Because it's time to decide on what to do with Artsty Fartsy
# 11- Make a 2010 Christmas Journal (inspired by Ali Edwards and Molly Irwin).

A few weeks ago, I was chewing on the idea of making a 2010 December
Daily. However, I knew I had to stay true to myself aka magpa-totoo ka!
I knew that there was no way that I could finish this beautiful project without
"inflicting self-hurt". So much to do, so little time! Thus, I have decided on a
"cheat" --- I will just do a December Daily Photo project! Let's see how that goes.

The Ladybug Picnic

Since my last post, M and I have been diligently listening to classical music
first thing in the morning. As I mentioned here, listening to classical music
is part of M's homeschool program. It's a no brainer really. The collection
lasts for approximately 30 minutes. The music just plays in the background
while we go about doing whatever needs to be done that morning.

The program "restarted" roughly 2 weeks ago. Today, I decided that it was
time to change the line up. I still start off with Mozart Sonata for Two Pianos
KV448 - D Major I. The succeeding songs are an assortment of Abc Songs and
Counting Songs. Of course, I just couldn't pass on the opportunity to share the
Ladybug Picnic Song with M! Thank you Sesame Street for the fond memories!

A Peek at Singapore Math

Recently, I dropped by my High School Alma Mater to get some papers.
I casually asked when the school would start teaching Singapore Math.
The Competitors have already started teaching it! Take note, Singapore
Math is something that can be taught in school or at home. hmm hmm
hmm.

Singapore Math is one thing I hope to teach M one day. What has caught
me off guard is the fact that "one day" is fast approaching. I really have
to be more disciplined about setting aside time for M's learning program!!!

Hurray! The Christmas Tree is Half-Done!

I've mentioned it here and here, I just love Christmas!

I've been too busy to properly prepare for Christmas this year. But that's not
about to dampen my mood. I've always enjoyed Christmas! This Christmas
is significant as it will be our first Christmas with M.

They started putting up the TREE today. Here's what it looks like half-done.
Can't wait for it to be finished!

Oh yes, I have not started shopping at all! Honestly, the LIST has been
trimmed down since the pregnancies. You could say that I have finally
transitioned into mommyhood.
